Slumber Party

Well everyone, I survived an open field!  Although I rolled my ankle in the first two minutes I was on the field (now I know why half the girls team was injured last year), I actually had a pretty good time.  I wasn't as horrible as I thought I would be for playing soccer for the first time.  I still don't know if I really want to play or not because I have made a LOT of commitments for this fall semester, but I am considering it.

....................................................................................................................

Last night, Jimmy and I had some friends over for a cookout/slumber party.  I miss those days when I was a little girl and I would have all my friends come over and we would do our hair, makeup, nails, and pretend we were too cool for baby dolls and barbies, but we would end up playing with them anyway. :)

While we didn't play with barbies or baby dolls (but Jimmy did play with little action figures), we did play on the Wii.  We played Wii Sports, Just Dance, Karaoke Revolution, and Mario.  We sang so loud though so we had to stop and dance instead. :)

This is the Becca that I introduced to you during the youth retreat :)  She's a doll! :)

Mags and Beth :)

This is Beth.  She's Jimmy's pastor's daughter.  She loved Jimmy's new cleats so much that she just had to wear them. :)

They so look like brother and sister! :)

Bowling!!!!!

Just Dance was the hit of the night.  Becca and Beth were pretty into this game.  I have to admit though, we had a great workout that night. :)

We finished out the night watching movies.  Just like the good ol' days :)

I definitely felt like a little girl again :)

Soccer

As most of you should know, my husband is OBSESSED with soccer!  I'm pretty sure that he was born with this gene because his dad is just like this, and so was his grandpa. (If they weren't playing it, then they were obsessed with watching it.)  It's definitely some kind of Hispanic thing.

So that brings us to today.....

I am playing soccer tonight.

Jimmy's coach has this great idea that it would be so wonderful if I played soccer because we would make amazing memories that we can one day share with our kids.  While I do agree with this, there is one problem-----I've never played soccer before!

Last night I bought a pair of shin guards, and Jimmy's coach has found a pair of cleats that i can borrow for tonight (I have to decide if I like it or not before I actually invest in it).

I'm really nervous for tonight.  Not only just because I don't think I will be very good, but also because it is extremely hot out and I don't do well with heat.  I'm gonna try to keep a positive attitude the best I can, so I will be be saying prayers all night :)

So, look out Wambach, there's a new star in town!

Haha Just Kidding! :)

Weekends :)

I love weekends, they're just so relaxing.  Especially since I have a job that is closed on the weekends. (Thank you Jesus!)  I haven't been to Gallipolis (my hometown) since the fourth of July, so I was excited to go see my family!

Friday

I had to work from 1-5:30 on Friday, but after that, we went to the outlet malls. :)  Because I'm a poor married college student, I didn't have much money to spend, but i LOVE shopping :)

I was on a mission to find some baby clothes for my cousin's (Karly) babyshower the next day.  I love that girl to death!  We've been so close our whole lives.  And when we come back together after not seeing each other for a long time, we pick right back up where we left off :)

I bought tons of clothes for Baby Marly (that's what she's naming her).  However, I didn't spend too much money at all!  I bought two sleepers, and adorable little romper type outfit, and a polo with a jean skirt.  She's gonna be the cutest dressed baby ever! :)

I also bought some stuff and Bath and Body Works because they were having such great deals!  I bought two wallflower (a smell good thingy) refills, two bottles of handsoap, a great smelling lip gloss, a bottle of body wash, AND a makeup bag (since I lost mine) ALL for $18!!!!

Then we went to Adidas...I love this store.  They have great athletic clothes for such good prices!  Everything in the store was buy one get one half off, so i got workout pants and a pair of running shorts for $15 (which is a GREAT deal for athletic clothes)!

Then we headed to Gallipolis :)

Saturday

Saturday flew by!  Probably because I slept in, because I was up so late reading New Moon :)

I went to Karly's baby shower :)

Isn't she soo cute? :) And she's due next month! (CRAZY!!)

She got tons of cute stuff!  Marly is going to be one spoiled baby :)

Saturday evening, my mom made homemade green beans that she picked out of the garden that morning (YUMMY!).  Then Jimmy and I had to drive back home :(

Sunday

After church on Sunday, Jimmy and I went to his soccer game.  He didn't win, but he did score a goal :)

THEN, we went to his parents house and ate some tacos :) (the joys of marrying into a Hispanic family!)

For some reason, I ALWAYS fall asleep at his parents house.  Guess I'm just really comfortable :) BUT, I woke up to the most amazing smell ever!  ARROZ CON LECHE! (Rice with milk) :D  This is my absolute favorite, and mi madre knows that :)  I love her :)

So.......today, it's back to the grind....work.  I did have a great lunch at Panera Bread with my best friend Sarah though :) I love lunch dates :)

Healthy Lifestyle...

WOW, it is soooo hard to live a healthy lifestyle!  I feel like I am doing really well one day, then the next I can't seem to want to be healthy.  My favorite food is french fries, so this makes it extremely difficult in the first place!

However, I downloaded an ab toning yoga app on my phone, and it was pretty intense.  I got Jimmy to do it with me, and he was even breaking a sweat.

......................................................................................................................................................................

Last night was really fun!

I had worship practice (which I LOVE to sing, so that was fun), then my brother (Lonnie Dale) came over to stay the night.  We went to Burger King (unhealthy, I know) and then took him to this awesome place where you can see the stars really bright!

You see, my brother is a skateboarder.  He's pretty awesome if I do say so myself.  He wanted to skate, so we brought him to our school (Ohio Christian University).  He was amazed at all the smooth blacktop.

We played sand volleyball, watched Lonnie Dale skate, broke some rules (yeah, we're cool), and had a BLAST!!!!

I've been pretty stressed lately, so it was good to just get away and have some fun :)

They were either dark or blurry, but you get the picture :)

Not As Planned

Yesterday was extremely rough for me.  I got off work at 4:30, then as soon as I got home, my sister (Cyndi) asked me to go to Chillicothe with her and my brother (Lonnie Dale) and my nephew (Conner).  I wanted to come home and take a nap, but I love spending time with my family, so I decided to go with them.

He gets cuter every day! :)

My brother just got a haircut.  This is a HUGE change.  I couldn't stop staring at him.  His hair is normally longer than mine, and really curly!

This was the part of the night when he was happy

We decided to go to Pet Land so that Conner could see the puppies.  We weren't gonna buy one because they are EXTREMELY expensive at pet stores, and not worth that amount of money.  I think I enjoyed the fish more than anything.  I love how colorful fish are!

This Sting Ray was $500!  Cannot believe that!  But it was cool looking.

He acted excited that the puppies were behind glass, because he is usually terrified of my parents Dog, Fritz

This bulldog was so cute! :) He was quite calm and not ferocious looking either.

We went to Big Lots to get Conner some Crocs, because they're so cheap ($15).  Then we got hungry and went to Steak-N-Shake.  Yeah, I did not eat healthy, but my food was delicious. :)

My seester! (Cyndi)

This was the part of the night when he was NOT happy.

Definitely his nap time!

On the way home, Conner was screaming, so I decided to read.  I've been reading Twilight.  This is my first time reading this series, and I'm very interested in it.  I have seen all the movies because my sister and my aunt (Jennie) are OBSESSED!  But I decided it was time to read them so that I can get the full effect.  If you love them too, I love to talk about them now. (hint hint) ;)

When I got home, I was exhausted!  I went to bed at 9 and slep until almost 11.  I woke up, but there was no working out going on that night. haha I was way too tired to run.  Jimmy and I played some Def Jam Rap Stars (a sweet game with mics that you get to rap) with our friends, then we sat on our porch (with the Tiki torches lit) and played cards.

Maggie and I were feeling guilty for not working out, so we did ab workouts in the living room. :)

While my workout didn't go as planned, I'm trying to be motivated and do it every night.  Even if it's just a little something, I'm proud. :)

Snooze

I AM EXHAUSTED!!!

Last night was the first night of our workout.  While I did not eat breakfast, I had a healthy lunch.

We had to work from 4-close at the library, so I didn't eat anything during that time, so I was starving!  We went to Circleville High School to work out, and I honestly did WAY better than I thought I would.  I could run around the track without getting tired at least. haha  Last night we started with legs, abs, and running.

When we went home, the guys (Jimmy and Eman) cooked spaghetti (bring on them carbs!) and Maggie and I moved the couch around in the livingroom.

The spaghetti was delicious.

Now today, however, it has been quite the challenge waking up.  I continued pressing snooze on my alarm from 8 until I finally rolled out of bed at 9:15.  This is gonna be a rough day.

We'll see how this workout goes tonight....

It's Been a While....

Since I do not have internet connection at my house, I decided to just take the weekend off from blogging.  As promised, I have pictures to post from Friday night!

FRIDAY

Friday evening, we drove up to Jimmy's church, in Dublin.  On the way there though, we stopped at Jimmy's parents house.  His baby sister (America) just got glasses, and though she doesn't feel comfortable wearing them, she's cute in them. :)

We made our way on up to Dublin to find out, that they weren't doing much.  They had their youth group, like they normally do.  It was once again, ALL in Spanish, so I didn't understand much.

They were supposed to be eating pizza and watching a movie, but we just ate pizza and played games. :)

Yami, Jimmy's sister, was feeling very homesick, so we took her home with us.  I remember those days of being homesick.  Now I get homesick to be with Jimmy.  It's weird how your definition of "home" changes throughout your life.

Neither of them wanted to have their picture taken, but I was unrelenting :)

So Friday ending at our house as a little sleepover....

SATURDAY

Saturday, was quite a different story.  First of all, I felt sick the ENTIRE day!  Jimmy was supposed to have a soccer game at 1 pm.  So he told me he had to be there at noon.  Well I guess the team that they were supposed to play were told that the game did not start until 3.  The referees threatened to cancel Jimmy's game and make them play next Saturday, but we had already driven there, so they should go ahead and play.  There was another game scheduled for three, but they just canceled that one until next Saturday.

It was extremely hot out and we had to be there from 12-5.  Ugh :(

So I went and bought an umbrella.  I don't really like the sun.  I hate getting burnt.  But guess what, I still got burnt!  30 Spf and an umbrella cannot keep the sun from my pale skin.  It's like a magnetic attraction between the two.

Although Jimmy's team didn't win, they played with heart.  You could see all over Jimmy's face how bad he wanted it.  At least his team won their game on Sunday :)

Saturday evening we grilled out.  We had steak and chicken kababs with fresh lemonade. (Yummy!)  We had some friends over, some almost Newlywed friends. :)

SUNDAY

Sundays are always a day of relaxation in my opinion.  After church, we went to El Palomar with some Newlywed friends, two couples to be exact. :)  Then I took a LONNNNGGGG nap! :)

Jimmy went on a drive that night and ate fast food under the stars.  I love the weekends :)

More to Come:  I'm a trying to start being healthier and working out.  Tonight my workout begins.  I will keep you updated on how that goes.  One of my friends, Lacey, has asked me and another friend, Liesi, to run a 5k with her.  While this will NOT be easy for me, I am DETERMINED! :)

Sunset Over the Campfire...

Last night was the first night of the Youth retreat for Jimmy's home church.  Jimmy's little sister (Yami) is now part of the youth group, but she had no idea that we were speaking. (Surprise!

First of all, on the way to the campsite, or Bekah's home, the sunset was AMAZING!!!!  I love being able to look at the sun and seing how AMAZING our God is!   It was like the sunset filled the entire sky with reds, yellows, purples, and oranges.  Ahh, it was GORGEOUS!!!!

I took all the good pictures of the sunset on Jimmy's phone (which are the first two)  because he was using mine for GPS, but this is towards the end of it (the last not so good one).
We ate sunflower seeds on the way there :) (Yummy!) This is my skill of cracking the shell and eating the seed.  I haven't been able to do this for very long. haha

When we arrived at the campsite (or Bekah's house) it was time to begin.  Jimmy and I sang the Revelation Song, and Bekah sang a song in Spanish, that I didn't know but it was beautiful

Bekah gave her testimony, in Spanish (she's awesome!).  Although I didn't understand all of it, I did understand that it was something about playing the piano, and she said she only played classical music.  And I also understood that she said she's was scared a lot. But that's about it :)

Jimmy gave his testimony, in Spanish as well (he's pretty awesome too ;) ).  He was supposed to talk about dreams, but I don't know if he did or not because I couldn't understand him!  I didn understand that he read about putting on the Armor of God (well maybe).

I was supposed to talk about waiting for the right person.  And I had to have a translator.  Wow, was this hard!  I NEVER get nervous to speak or sing in front of people, but I was so nervous for some reason!  Well Pastora (the Pastor's wife) began translating for me.  This made me even more nervous for some reason so I begged Jimmy to do it for me.  It was quite funny when he had to talk about my previous relationships with guys, but he was very mature about it. :) Ahhh, I love him! :)

After the worship and testimonies, we just hung out with all the kids.  Most of them speak English, so it wasn't as bad as you would think.  And my little sister (in-law), Yami, is always looking out for me :)

I love campfires!

My camera (which is my phone) wasn't doing too well adjusting to the darkness.

I love this picture because it makes me laugh.  This is my little sister :) This picture doesn't do her justice becaus she's beautiful :)

I'm so glad that I waited for the right man and that God brought us together.
We made a pretty good team that night :)

(Oh yeah, and we're going back to help out tonight, so hopefully, I'll have some more to post!)

Pizza and Cookies :)

When I first began to blog, I thought that I would have absolutely nothing to write about....either my life has become more excited, or I just never knew what a great life I have.  I'm gonna say the second one. :)

My night began with some work :( but I have two great co-workers, and a third if you cound Jimmy.  Meet Stefanie and Chelsie.  They make my nights go by so much faster when we have to close.  We usually end up doing each others hair or just talking about fashion.  Ya know, girl stuff. :)

And These are the books in the library :) (well some of them of course)

When we went home, that is when the fun began :)  Jimmy and I, with our guest (Emmanuel Harris or Eman) decided to have pizza and yummy cookies!  This is probably the first time Jimmy helped me make the cookies and it was quite funny.  He is never particular about things, but with this, his measurements had to be EXACT! (If only he were like this with picking up after himself :/ )

It was all very yummy too.....SUCCESS! :)
