My New Role in Life

I have been dying to get back on here and start blogging again!  However, my life has changed quite a bit and i don't have as much time as I used to because....I have a baby :) 

His name is Cameron Luis Osvaldo Galvan.  He is the most precious thing on earth and he is ALL mine! :)

This is him at one month (taken by my friend Katie).  Today was his 3 month birthday :)

So, since it is summer and I am only in one class right now, I decided it would be a good time to start so that I can get in the habit of blogging.  Also, I got a new camera today and I'm excited to take pics and share :)

Just to let everyone know, I am going to try to give an informational blog for new mommas.  I know that a good bit of my friends are pregnant now or already have babies, so some might like some advice.  I'm not saying that I'm right about everything (because I know I'm definitely not), but sometimes it's nice to have someone to tell you that everything will be okay :)  However, if you aren't anywhere close to having a baby, you don't have to read, but you can always look at pictures of my handsome baby boy haha (I am a bit biased I guess :) )

Although my baby is already three months, I still feel like he's a newborn :)  The next post I do I'm going to make it about my birthing experience. (I won't give nasty details or gross pics, but I will try to tell you what no one tells you).

Although being a Mom is GREAT, it is very stressful!  I hope that you will understand when I can't keep up with this blog, because I already know I can't do it every day.

I'm gonna try to end with a "Tip of the Day" of something that I learned about being a mom or having a baby or something like that. :)  Well, it is past midnight and Jimmy just put Cam to sleep, so my bed is calling :)

Tip of the Day:  Every baby is different in what comforts them.  Some like to suck on binkies, some prefer their hands, and some prefer your fingers.  Whatever it may be, find out what soothes your baby best and let them take comfort.  Don't stress about breaking them of the habit just yet.  Babies don't understand what is going on and comforting items or methods will make them know everything is okay and that you love them more than anything! :) 

Will We Have an Easter Bunny?

Well ladies and gents, it must have paid off.  All the contracting on Tuesday and walking/shopping with my Momma on Wednesday.

I am 3 cm dilated!

For those of you that have no clue what that means, you have to dilate to 10 to have a baby.  The fact that I haven't had much pain at all and I'm already at a 3 is AMAZING!!!!!

I'm so ready to have this baby.  Maybe tonight?  I don't know if it will be that early, but a girl can dream right?

So, if I don't post for a while, you will understand what is happening :)

(Unless I'm just too lazy, which that could happen too haha)

Anyway, this weekend is EASTER!!

I feel like Easter used to mean more to me as a child because I got an Easter basket, but the more I think about that now, the more I disagree.  Easter to me (back in the day) used to only mean I was getting a present.  Easter to me now means that I am celebrating the Resurrection of my Savior!  How much sweeter is that than a chocolate Easter bunny?  I am so thankful for Christ dying on the cross for me.  When we took communion at church this past Sunday, I started crying, and I think it was because Christ's love totally overwhelmed and amazed me.

So to all of you that don't get an Easter basket anymore because you are too old, cherish the REAL meaning of Easter and it will be so much better!

So if we have an Easter bunny this weekend, I will let you know :)

P.S.  My husband wanted me to let you all know that I bought him a pair of cleats, and they are awesome.  He wears them around inside everywhere.  He's crazy, but I love him :)

Mommy Daughter Date :)

It's Wednesday!

For me, this means I have one more day of school and work because I never have school or work on Fridays.  I know, I'm lucky. haha  I specifically made mine and Jimmy's schedules like this so we can go away and visit family and friends on the weekends. 

Not only is today Wednesday, but I was so excited to get up and out of bed today because I have a date! 
With my Momma! :)

Since I only have 10 more days until my due date, I really wanted to spend some time with just my mom and I before the baby comes.  I'm still a little girl at heart <3

My Momma is AMAZING!  Which I'm sure most people think the same about their moms, but that's awesome!  Every boy and girl should have a Mom that loves them unconditionally.  My Mom is such a talented woman.  She sings, plays piano, is an AMAZING cook, and she's such a loving mother.  I can remember when I was a little girl and was scared of storms, she would always sing to us (my brother and sister included).  She has always put our needs above her own!

I think the only thing better than having her as my Mommy is knowing that she will be Cameron's Grandma.  Which she already has the amazing grandma thing down, I've seen it with my nephew. :)

So today, I will be eating Olive Garden and doing some baby shopping with this amazing woman! :)

She can never keep her eyes open in pictures haha but it doesn't change how much I love her! :)



One of those Days..

You ever have one of those days where you just feel mad and you don't know why?

Yeah, that's me today.

It may be because I woke up and I've been having non-stop contractions, but I'm pretty positive they are only Braxton Hicks (aka false labor).  However, just because it is false labor does not mean I am not in pain, FYI.

I had an awesome weekend and a great Monday (is that an oxymoron?), but today I'm just not feeling it. 

I think I'm just so ready to get this baby out because I feel like a whale. 

But not the cute kind, the BIG kind.

I'm ready to have my son and be able to cuddle with him. :)  Just saying that puts a smile on my face :)

So I've decided I'm going to focus on the GREAT things happening in my life.

1.  I have a baby on the way! :)

2.  I have an amazing husband that has been there with me this entire pregnancy, in the bad times (throwing up three times a day) and the good times (feeling the baby move when he hears Jimmy's voice).

3.  I have great friends and family that can't wait unil the arrival of Baby Cameron :)

4.  I am almost done with college!!!!! (Four more classes baby!)

5.  I serve an AWESOME God that knows the exact time that the baby will come and will be with our little family every step of the way.

Although these aren't ALL the positive things happening in my life, they are enough to make my day seem a little brighter.  :)

So even though we STILL haven't found a 2 bedroom apartment, and I'm in some serious pain, I'm gonna try to make today awesome.

So to all of those having a not-so-great Tuesday, I feel your pain.  Make today amazing though because we are blessed! :)

Baby Bump Now a Mountain...

Considering the last time I blogged was August 24, 2011, you all are probably wondering what has been going on in my life.  The reason I basically dropped blogging was because....well folks,

I'M PREGNANT!

If you've seen me in the past 5 months, I'm sure you could have guessed this.  The reason I didn't blog was because I felt like the only thing I wanted to talk about was being pregnant, and considering we were keeping it a secret, I couldn't.  I didn't really shout it from the rooftops that I was pregnant until I was about four months and we found out the sex.  You see, I had a miscarriage in 2010 so I was scared to tell people until we knew for sure it was a healthy baby. 

Now that I haven't had the wonderful chance of showing you all a month-by-month growth of my baby bump to a baby mountain, I can try to show you a little bit of how far I've come, and please don't comment on my chubby face, it happens okay?

August 25, 2011-6 weeks and 5 days





October 15, 2011-14 weeks

October 30, 2011-16 weeks and 1 day

November 13, 2011-17 weeks and 5 days

December 8, 2011-21 weeks and 5 days

January 21, 2012-28 weeks

March 3, 2012-34 weeks

March 27, 2012-37 weeks and 3 days

Sorry there is no pattern or I didn't wear the same shirt, but it has been a rough pregnancy so I'm lucky to have these pics.  Looking at the top picture to todays picture is QUITE the change!  However, every little pound I gained (all 40 of them :/) is so that my little man can grow stronger! 

That's right, we're having a little boy!

And now, he's so big you can't even see him with one picture, you have to take several to get his whole body.  I must say, I am already a proud Mama :)

HOPEFULLY I can get a little better at this whole blogging thing, but we will see.  I will probably want to update all the time and brag about my little man, but I will try to talk about other things as well :)

In the meantime, about two more weeks until my due date (16 days, but who's counting right?)

However, if he wishes to come early, I will NOT argue :)

The end of summer :(

So my friends, I'm the worst blogger on earth :(

 I don't know if I feel like I don't have time to blog or if I don't want to?

I started out so well...idk what happened :/

So....this is my last week of summer :(

Next week is the beginning of school....boo

However, it is MY SENIOR YEAR!!!!!!!!!

I am extremely excited about that!!

My husband, the soccer star, has been kinda MIA lately for soccer two-a-days....I've been doing the whole "living on my own" thing for a couple weeks now, and I must admit, I'm glad that I never actually did it.  I mean, before Jimmy and I got married we had the apartment for 22 days which I "lived" in by myselft, but I spent most of my nights at Jimmy's parents house :)

I don't really have much to blog about because I feel like my life has been boring lately.....

I am going thrift shopping on Saturday, so I may blog about my finds :)
